HUNDREDS OF IMAGES: We have collected hundreds of images and have grouped them into categories. Some images fit in more than one category and are included on several different category pages. So, if you add up the number of images in each different category, you will get a number that is bigger than the number of images on the 'All Images' page.
ALL IMAGES on one page: A conscious decision was made for putting ALL of the E-mail graphics onto one page for the following reasons:
High Speed Data Access Lines (DSL/Cable Modems): Most of the people visiting this page will be using a high speed data access line either from their work place or from their DSL/Cable modem line at home and load time is not an issue.
View and Compare ALL images: Most people want to view and compare ALL of the graphics and they feel it is annoying to have to click 'next' and 'previous' to go from page to page in order to compare one graphic to another.
View While Loading: Images will begin to appear as they are loaded and you will not have to wait for all the images to load before they appear. That is, you will not have to look at a blank screen for 10 minutes and then suddenly the images appear all at once. Instead, they will appear one at a time as they are loaded.
Future Visits To Pages Are Faster: After the first visit to the page, the graphic image files are saved or 'cached' to your local hard drive. Future visits to the page will load from the cached files before downloading from the internet and the page will load more quickly.
Load Time Estimates: Load times tests were conducted after the 'Browser Disk Cache' was cleared and the computer was rebooted. This ensured that the testing conditions would be similar to what a first time visitor to this page would experience.
